A rondelle sits flatter than a round bead, so strands lie flush against the wrist or neckline instead of rolling — which is exactly why rondelle beads dominate handmade necklaces, bracelets and spacer runs. Faceted rondelles catch light between larger focal stones, while smooth rondelles give the softer, more traditional look favoured in mala and layered designs.
